I'm new to PS but I made a little piece I want you guys to criticize. I'm not sure which one is better - 1 or 2. Also there are other things which could be better but I don't really know what to do to make it look more professional. 1- www.freewebs.com/trhaynes/informationage1.jpg 2- www.freewebs.com/trhaynes/informationage2.jpg - UPDATE - Made them smaller and took out the grid. Which one is better? 1- www.freewebs.com/trhaynes/ia1nogrid.jpg 2- www.freewebs.com/trhaynes/ia2nogrid.jpg thanks. tom (*edit* not first post in forum - first post in this section.) |

I think they're pretty good, but lose the awful grid. They'd look way more professional and clean with just the white BG in my opinon. |

copy/paste worked for me (although i do keep getting linked back. I guess they dont allow hotlinking....) Yeah i agree about the grid. Not bad for a beginning. Im not really sure what advice to give (its a fairly straight forward picture) so instead i would say...dont focus on making it professional...just keep working away in photoshop! Make crap thats ugly...make crap you hate..just make crap (lol) and i guarantee you'll learn from it. Worry about being prof. after you have a good hold on photoshop...but for now just freak out artistically! |

Yeah I've made some crap but I don't paste it. I felt like actually making something and didn't have that much time to work with so this seemed like a good project. Check the first post for an update. Better? tom |

Alot better. I like the No2 better, the "DON'T BE LEFT OUT" text has more impact being bigger and more robust. Well done. |

There must be a bug or something with opera because every time i try to check the graphics it always links me right back here, but when i try it in IE it works just fine :P Anyways about the graphics... I think the second one looks better (without grid) but maybe make the width of the box as wide as the one in #1 (without grid). I think that would ballance it out more. |

I like the book/mouse ideea - I'd like it even better if the book were open and it would have pictres (motion pictures) very nice - much better without the grid |
