wooden skittles

This was an old French game where u threw a wooden hoop over skittles without knocking them down.

An odd subject I know but I thought it would be a challenge in trying to recreate the effect of the polished wood.

btw the light is supposed to be coming thru an old barred window. I still want to add some screws and nails to the box that the skittles are sitting in just to add some character but other than that its pretty much complete.

very nice.
Some parts are a bit jaggy tho, but who cares. :D

Updated versions with a better render that got rid of the jaggies:

with a focus of 450 (photographic depth of feild)
