Hi, This is my first time posting in this server and I'm sorry I'm simply asking for comments and suggestions. I made this logo for a company that strings tennis racquets. It is called L-String. What do you think of this logol. http://www.geocities.com/smartruski/LSLogo.jpg Thanks |

Yeah i would agree some texture would make it look much better, but im not really sure how to make that "tennis ball texture." I would maybe work with some of the textures like grain and stuff and then just mess with the blending modes and levels :p. Ive never really dont anything like that, you might even be able to find a tutorial or something for it by searching www.google.com or something :P Good luck |

For future referance.... All images through geocities can be hosted if you change the extension to ".txt"

Maybe I'm being too picky but the lighting isn't global. The tennis ball doesn't really look like a sphere because the lighting is from straight-on and it looks wierd. And then the text has a different lighting angle. And I think you need some texture. tom |

/Arrghh, pulls hair out... Ok, honestly, I think you are going to have to get a book, or do some online reading about making logos. What you have done is fine in regards to making a picture, but it is not usable logo. There are certain elements that a logo must have to make it effective and usable. Trust me, do some reading, then go back at it. You will realize what mistakes you made, and everything will become quite clear. As well, the company will be much happier with what you give them. Here's a small hint. Whats the difference between your logo and say... TeamPhotoshop's, Nike's, McDonald's, IBM's, Internet Explorer's, etc... |
