Enjoyed getting the good comments on my last peices, thought I would milk the experience a bit more, choke on these. :D

Oh boy this first one was loads of fun, the photo's are from Hypnox.com
(permission? a pox upon thee, there was no money for me!)

(hows that for busy)

This was done for a friend of mines website, the bottom is a stock photo of Tokyo, the pic of him was by me. Stock fire too. Was done way back in the day (99/00) when I was into photo manip hardcore. (ok so the first thing I did with ps and a scanner was fake ids)

Speaking of photo manip I thought I would drop this in too, more from my hardcore days. Stock liberty pic.

And just to show I can do subtler work heres something I did for a Quake TF gaming clan I was in. (a bit graphic) Stock image.

That clan kinda turned into this website which I did this for. (Unfortunatly they went with something else) Again stock liberty pic, as well as some video game pics randomly dispersed.

Finally are these two backgrounds. The first one is pretty toned down, taken from a letterhead I made for myself.

And one I did for a friend of mine called GamerX. Photos from elaisted.org. Noncommercial private use.

Have fun, comments always welcome.

Not a fan of the actual work so much as I am with the overall concepts. I really like the fire over the city and the calling card (clan one).

Not such **** hot imagery, but certainly you can think outside the box and I like that if nothing else. Yep, in retrospect, I like the least obvious of the images most (the most distasteful one imo) the calling card, clan one.

I don't want to steal any ideas but I've seen the technique in a number of wallpapers and I've wondered how to make it.

How do you put - for lack of a better word - garbage - into wallpapers. Like in the first one you have random coding, and in the last you have random bars going up and down and across. The first one is probably a better example, though. Lots of well-placed minor random things to make it look better. Especially the code though - how do you get that and make it look good.

General question - for anyone.

Well I actually went in and wrote all the kinds of coding and stuff I wanted (including hidden messages I knew the client would eventually see, get and like). Once I had a bunch of stuff I coppied it and layered it and blended it and blurred some and this and that all over the place. Made a box, added a grid, drew a weird dna looking thing. Wrote more bs techy looking stuff. Just look at it, I think its pretty self explanitory.

As far as the "random bars" in that Gamer X on, thats basically just a trick that can be done with either motion blurr set to 999 and then transformed, or if you wanna cheat it the gradient tool ;)

To make a bunch of random crap you have to do just that, make a bunch of random crap. Use you imagination, what I do that helps is to not think of the image as static, more like some cool animation that you just create a still frame from.

OK motion blur set to 999 and then transformed. I was trying noise and then transforming...wasn't getting anything that looked good.

I think that its the little things that make pieces like yours look good.
