yeah, i'm new here...thought i would break the ice and show my small amount of skill with photoshop. i haven't been using it for too long, but i made my sig. let me know what you think....is it too big? too plain? just let me know, and i'll try to fix it. peace.

It looks good, there's nothing wrong with it, but if you want my opinion on possible improvements (which is the purpose of the graphic check board, is it not?): Maybe change the texture of the background to one that doesn't show the repetition so much..The repeated parts of it draw the eye and take away from the effect...and maybe add a little more shine to the lettering to help it stand out... |

yeah, i'm definitely here to get help and advise. i'll see what i can do about changing the texture and shine. can i just open up the image and change the effects, or do i have to recreate the whole thing? the only reason i'm asking is because i think i had made some sort of image before, and i saved it. then later when i wanted to tweak it a bit, i opened it up, but all of the steps i had done to create it were combined into one layer.

ok "noob" heres what wrong your saving as gif and jpg and not saving your psd.. psd is photoshops main format u need to save in this so u can re open at a later date to edit.. so you will have to start again

ha ha...i was wondering why it is that i would want to save it as a psd instead of jpg or gif....thanks a lot.

youll have to save a copy of jpg or gif for web though... psd dosnt show on web |

Yeah its definately something I would have done when I first started... its very "noob"ish. But nice work! Keep up the good work and before you know it... You'll be as good as me! :D (actually that is impossible because NO ONE can be as good as me) :rolleyes: |
