wraithguard sketch

this is a really old drawing that i dug up in my old sketch binder. All i did was a bunch of crap, and this has to be the best thing in there.

Then i saw the name. Why, it was too good to be drawn by me! It was drawn in 1999 by my uncle. I asked him to draw a little model that i had and he did. I might also add that he is an artist for industrial light and magic, so blame HIM for Jar Jar Binks!:D

feel free to color it, mess with it, etc. since i have no patience to do so right now.:p

you uncle works for ILM? I would give a year's pay to have an uncle like that:D

lol!!! yeah, he does. He's always saying, "hey, you know what our next movie is? Well you shouldn't because I'm not allowed to tell you.":D blahh. have to wait another year or two for the preview of the next cryptic movie to come out.

anyways. I decided to attempt to color it, and it didn't come out to bad. I tried to retain most of the sketch lines.

You should seperate the lines from the white bg then color on a layer below it...

oh man noo what have you done ..... put the color on another layer- use a brush and set the layer blending mode to multiply...
that way you can color over the lines and get a smooth fill - you did it with the bucket tool - that is nasty....

It's oodles better.

However, I would:

- get rid of that cheese thing in top :rolleyes:
- vary the colors on the guard and make them less dark
- color the gun more (less sketch lines)
- basically have more colors

Otherwise, you're on a very right track.
