hey it's very good - I like it a lot - kinda makes me think of Jack Kerouac - any of you guys that old in here? I know someone who draws with a mouse - by choice - but she's a maniac... - A good maniac tho - she's got great stuff. As a Wacom slave myself I'd suggest getting one as fast as you can - there are some things you just can't do with a mouse. I am not rich I have a Grapphire2 but if you can afford it - get an Intuos. Those are the grand prizewinners:D But even a crappy $16 Genius tablet will serve you just fine. You get soo much more control over your strokes and besides - the curves you can draw freehand with a mouse .... let's not get into that - you have to have a pianist's hands to get a half-decent elipse.... |

yeah well - for training it's good. Actually it's a great way to train yourself. The crappy Genius tablet - (and the word to remember is "crappy") features a beautiful ...cable attached to your stylus... The cable gets in the way most of the times when you draw so by the time you get used to it and you finally shake your pockets for a Wacom you'll think you're in heaven. I rememeber the first time I plugged in the Wacom - which is USB as opposed to crappy serial Genius - boy oh boy - no cable - total freedom hihi - you can even chew the stylus lol. Umm better not chew the stylus tho ... bad habit plus the end where a pencil would sport a yummy eraser the wacom stylus has ... an eraser!!! You turn it around and voila... But I would still recommend even a Genius tablet - it's way better than no tablet... Also don't buy a big one - mine was the smallest one and I found it had enough room to paint. The wacom I have is small too. If you're not into CAD it's no point spending on a large one...
