I'de take out the shadow on the 'chimbo' (is that what they are?) that's in the news section.

uhhh? since when did this become the same thread? .....

I would use some gradients. there are lots of big colored spaces and I think they might look better with gradients.

I don't care for that shade of beige you're using, maybe it's just me, but I find it doesn't go along with the rest of the pastel shades.

you should have all the shadows of those characters going the same way
