MY god those are mind blowing pics (magnus larbrant). Are you guys talking about the eye or just the eyeball? Because the eye part is an actual picture so theres no way it could be fake. THe eyeball is what I painted.

looks good so far
the boy could use a little more blurring around the edges
and or blending into the overall composition a little more

I doubt if there's tutorials/books on how to paint in photoshop. I think its a natural thing.
