Nice, changing up the style a bit. I like the little attentions to the detail. Everything you post seems to have an aura of cool about it. Thumbs up.

the piece is really nice, but maybe make the chick stand out a bit more ... she could use a little more work around the fingers perhaps :\ but I dunno... either way its a great image!oh yeah.. maybe make her highlights stand out a bit more...

just a quick question. I've been wondering how to do stuff like that.

I assume you took a photo and painted it. Did you do it by hand pretty much? or is there an easier way to do that?

tnx for the feedback
@sniv - no tricks --- trace with Polygonal Lasso to get outlines on different layers, the textures are painted in and Smudged and Blurred on multiple layers....
@ zy - i tried with the detail, but on the fingers but my sample is too small -- time to invest in a a wacom, i think
@nat - tnx, many years at Natural Art combined with Interior Decor helped me make the transition to Photoshop quite comfortably

cheers

That looks really really good man, I like the detail but there is still that feel of vectorness to it, and the colors, though kindof dull, are really nice and work well with the style of image. Nice work man :D
