I just can't seem to get this to look right. Any idea's ? I don't want it to flashy. But it's to plain looking as it is.

You can start by not darkening the person, then again the person isn't that great to start off with. Brown and, what is that, indigo? They don't go well with eachother. Then, don't combine both grids and scanlines together, they shouldn't really be in there at all. Try playing with working color combinations, then figure out something to make the picture more interesting, rather than a drop shadow and two annoying patterns. :( |

I used the character I drew because I didn't want to use clip art. I just wanted to see if I could incorporate her in a small sig like pic. Has been fun trying but she just doesn't look that good small. Her pose is wrong so its hard to just paste her in without lighting or shadows. I may try her in something bigger |
