*stare* I don't believe you can say anime is simple, it's not because it has some basic rules as big eyes small mouth that it is simple. A good anime artist still needs to be anatomically correct from every position you draw in as in a lot of styles. It might be easy to start with but you'll soon come to a point where you just stop or diminish in improving because you have no life drawing background for example.

I will agree with GC, just because its a certain popular style doesnt mean its going to be easy. I think it looks great! Please scan some more work and show us =) I found it rather beautiful.
