This is the third picture in a series of pictures illustrating a children's book I'm hoping to have published.

THE PICTURE "...the first big winter snow flakes begin to fall."

And here are some texture details:

heh, there's that cat again :D cute, I showed your cat pictures to my little sister and she loved them

Btw, how do you build up your picture, do you paint in with regular brushes first and then apply the textures (custom made brushes i guess)?

Thanks fro your comments...

Good Christian... I sketch the basic drawing in Photoshop and then paint in the colors. Next I add the textures using a custom brush and then use PShop's adjustment tools to reset color, contrast, hue, etc. for various areas.

Very nice, I liked it very much. Just thougt of the snowflakes, they could maybe be the ordinary snowflaked... hemmm, but no that would just ruin the style of the whole piece. yeah that style is great.

Nice work and I have just a question, how long did this picture take to make?

Keep up the work eyewoo.

Great work as always, like we even need to confirm that to you.

I've seen most of your "realism" work, but this is the first I've seen of an "illustration" style, and I think you excel in both areas.
