for me it depends on what theme you are looking out for in your nickname e.g. sporty? futuristic? sci fi? etc. From then you can search a font on the net which suits the theme. As for texture for the font, try bevel for a solid look, if not maybe some motion blur to add speed and depth? |

adjust the opacity, change the size to 800 by 600, add some borders and bars and you'll have a cool backdrop for a webpage template? Liquify tool rocks!:p |

One thing that i like doing to images when i'm at a loss is select everything but the background and merge them. them Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur at 40. Then set that between the background and the top layer. It gives a sort of cool Halo effect. click here to see my modifications |

Bevel? Eww.. not for that image. Motion blur maybe.. I think you should try to make the edges/curves on those spike things a little smoother, I can see big chunks missing where it's black.. It's like wtf. I also think it should be either smaller or more complex, it just doesn't do anything for me too much, it leads the eye off of the image. |
