It's a bit too bright and blurry for my tastes.

Its neat, but I think I would like to see it with the background noise either gone or subdue'd drastically. The image(s) you are working with appear to be very nice and have great tonal qualities. I dont think you should cover them with clouds and whatever else. Try going a bit simpler and then go play with the hues and the contrast.

Thanks for the comments ppl! Alpha, sorry if the image looked too blurry, i guess it was an overdose of gaussian blur for the text. :p , anyway will it be advisable to flatten the image and then use the brightness/contrast to rectify the problem? Spectra, sorry for my ignorance but what are the background noise you are talking about? Actually the background wasn't some cloud pictures or from the Cloud filter, it was an image that I did an invert on Check out the original picture here http://www.geocities.com/grooovylim/explosion.jpg sorry you may have to copy n paste in your address bar again, cause I have a website in the main index page and I have no idea how to create a sub webpage to put my pictures. My initial concept was to do an art piece on my feelings for the crazy terrorism **** that is going on, but I dunno why I went on to do an invert on this picture and viola, I sidetracked again  Anyway to me it was frighteningly ironic to see the drastic change in colour, you know, from a burning mayhem to a sky like atmosphere. ( what on earth am I talking about) Nuff said, anyway what will you suggest for a background graphic? From what you said, you are suggesting to me that I should use a plain background, is that it? Thanks again ppl, hoping to hear your replies soon. l |

Well, from seeing the Original pic, Ill further clarify what I was trying to say. That explosion is a cool pic, but in your composition, its not recognizable at all. Now since we cant tell what it was, I feel there is really no need for it to be in the picture as is. Now if you incorporated it a different way it may work well. But right now I dont feel it adds to the piece, it is definatly taking away from it. You have nice text and I liked it with the figures and the clearer background. I think your message is there without the explosion. What might look really sick is if you blow up where that crystal ball is and superimpose the explosion so it looks like its in the glass. I think that would look fairly amazing. Then Id do your color effects on the whole image. But it still looks good :D |

hehe...and maybe add a lens flare to it but thanks again i really apperciate yah comments, maybe i'll try to take another approach and brainstorm for another alternate background to it. The colours and quality of the original pictures varies alot cause they are from different media sources, so thats why i desatuate em to make a constant greyscal blend. I guess the background did take away the clarity of the objects' original form (btw the "crystal ball" is actually a droplet of water) |
