how do you guys resize your photos?

do you just do it in photoshop?

also, if I know i'm gonna resize my photos, should I set my resolution settings on the camera to smaller? or leave it at the largest resolution?

Keep it large, you would rather size down an image than have one too small. I use Photoshop to do all my image editing . I do Image>Image Size. Then I type in the ammount of pixels I want for one dimension and it keeps the same ratio.

I've used the program that came with my camera to resize. Should I just use PS or does it matter.

I reccomend PS only because after resizing from a very large image size, sometimes things might get a bit blurred, or jaggy like. so then in photoshop you can then later go and do an unsharp mask or other techniques to fix that photo up nicely

I use a small program I downloaded from http://www.photocleaner.com - it does the good job on resizing and can resize a batch of images at once. The authors claim that they use a more advanced algorithm than PS. I dunno, but it seems to me that the pictures resized with PhotoCleaner are crisper than those resized with PS.

Hello, before using the unsharp mask i reccomend you convert your image to lab colors, after you run the filter convert it back to its previous state. This will remove any unwanted halos arounnd the corners of the image.
