I would go for the A70, my friend has one and I love it. I have the Canon Powershot S50, which is a great camera, but is pretty heavy compared to the A70. (and pricy :o)

well, i decided yesterday i'm gonna go with the canon s410 (bout the same price as the s400, could give a flip about direct-print). my dad recently got an a75 and its a great camera but i do want something pocketable, and the s410 has gotten rave reviews and i've been blown away with the image quality i've seen from it. should be ordering it next week, i'm excited chris |

So, Fig... what d'ya think about your s410? I'm thinking of getting a small point-n-shoot with my new 20D. Does it fit the bill?

we've talked already, but to fill everyone else in something fell thru when i was about to get it (freelancing sucks sometimes). i'm actually looking again now and considering a pentax optio 5si over the canon s410 and sd300. very competitive price, lots of focus options, and a bit more resolution (5mp). will update when (if?) i get it chris |

A70,75,80 are all very nice cameras, I would say go with one and you will be very happy.

been pricing the canon sd's vs the pentax 5si and the pentax has a lot better price/feature ratio imo. as i mentioned my folks have an a75 and it's a great camera but i want something a bit more pocket-size. chris |

Is that a camera in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?
