For a mother or something and a camera that is good and not super professional but I would go with a Kodak, and possinly their Easy Share line. I was bought one for my Bar Mitzvahnot too long ago and I know mysef it didn't cost much. If you want some photo samples just let me know and I can upload some. :D

For mothers........ (my mother uses this) the Nikon Coolpix 2100 (or 3100) http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Nikon/nikon_cp2100.asp Its about 200-300 in price(2100 sub-$200 now...i believe), fairly powerful, many options (shooting modes), good quality pics, easy to navigate menus, very compact (fits well in any purse...) overall a great little camera. |
