- create your empty image with dark background. - create many, many empty layers. - use the brush tool and draw some lines from one edge to the other, choose different colours. blur the lines (i'd preffer gaussian). merge some layers and transform them: flip horizontal, maybe use the liquify filter. - merge of the layers, then copy one of the merged layers. play around with the layer filling methods. if i find the time i will write a tutorial for this within next 2 weeks. |

well, the tutorial is done, but i have no inet access at home (moving to new house). i will upload it, as it is in .html format, containing too much screen- shots for posting in here. just check this posting within next 2 or 3 days, i will edit it and give you the download link. it is a zipped file, you will have to unzip it to a directory of your choice and open "tutorial.html" in your browser. the folder containing the screenshots must be in the same directory as the .html file. |

sorry for doubleposting, mods may delete my postings above. i tried to do a tutorial in very short time, you might download it from here: http://download.yousendit.com/AD35828C1F6956D1 as written above, unzip it keeping the paths like they are in the archive: put the html file and the folder containing the grafics in the same directory then open the html file in your browser. to give you an idea what the tutorial gfx look like: there could be done more with blurring, layer blending and so on. i hope you like the tut, though it is far away from being perfect as it was done hurrying. greets, pixelpanic |
