how do you make a text image?like a design out of a name...

I almost deleted this question. I get so many vague How do you make... questions, that I can't possibly know exactly what the person needs.
But If you're a novice Photoshop user (with version 6.0 or later) and want quick, cool results, try this:
1. Using the text tool, type in your text (give it the font, color and size you want).
2. Warp the text (Layer: Type: Warp Text...). This is pretty easy to use. You just select an effect & move the sliders to see results. You get very cool effects that only programs like Typestyler could formerly do.
3. Finally, apply a layer style. After you click the type check box to accept your work, go to Layer: Layer Style> and choose among effects like Drop Shadow and Bevel and Emboss.
These steps can get you very cool results with a minumum of work on your part.
