Coloring in Illustrator 10

Do any of you guys know of a helpful website that gives good tips about coloring an illustration in Illustrator 10? I’m trying to getting around using gradients or the mesh tool.

Try using "Blends". They act like gradients but have many more options.
Try just using Google for tutorials and tips...There are only so many out there, I'm sure you can find what you are looking for relatively fast.
