basicly, i have this simple site plan, and i need to colorize them. which only need to be simple coloring as well, however, since it's going to be 6'x4' big sign, I'd like to work on illustrator instead of photoshop. Anyway, on grass area, i just want to fill with green and add some noise to it. I wonder if i can do that in illustrator. thanks |

I'm new to illustrator, I just quickly try the hatch effect, however, it doesn't seem like to get the effect I want. how can I make the grain effect on the color you are on? like phothoshop noise does? I tried to import photoshop noised color into illustrator, but the file gets too big and it takes a while to do even one command |

I don't use Illustrator that much. Are there layer styles? You might be able to do something with inner glow and dissolve. Or something with dissolve. I dunno - just trying to be helpful. tom |

i'm not sure if you found the solution yet, noboru. but what type of file are you importing from photoshop? the ideal file type is an .eps format and for the size of sign you are producing 100-150 dpi should be good. check with your printer/serivce bureau on their specs. the .eps image in illustrator will look pixelated if not embedded, but you don't need to embed it if you provide the .eps file along with the final illustrator file. you can embed the .eps file if you want though. |
