Slices in Flash?

Right, so really, you could have the animation or anything like that in the center of the stage, and the button could be off in the corner, or something.

The hit state just defines where the button is; not where the animation plays (though usually the animation plays where the button is, thus resulting in animated buttons :D )

I messed around a little bit with the box in the hit state. It works just fine.
