Two questions. 1. Is there a way to build a page like this: ------------------------------------------------------------------- flash page ------------------------------------------------------------------- flash menu (separate flash menu on same page) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Can this be built in such a way that when you click the menu, the different flash movie will load directly into the flash page, rather than switching to a new HTML document? 2. Very similar to the first. ------------------------------------------------------------------- HTML page ------------------------------------------------------------------- flash menu (separate flash menu on same page) ------------------------------------------------------------------- How can this be done without loading different HTML documents? Just the information loading into the apge? |

I'm a newb at this stuff but u might be able to take dreamweaver, make a top frame, insert the flash movie in the top frame but then have the menu down on the bottom.

Sorry, Do you have another way? I don't use dweaver, I handcode. Plus, the menu has to load new info into the same space on the page without loading a new html page. I've seen it done, as such: http://cirrus.realityslip.com/ You see how the menu loads the new info in the same space without switching the html. how is it done? |

actually it looks like it IS switching the html (php actually). if you want to do that with flash movies your best bet is to have a main swf that loads other swf's into it. chris |

That cirrus site is just a php page (or html) that has flash objects on it. Nothing mysterious.

The cirrus page doesnt change anything outside of the info box whenever you click links (witht he exception of the forum link). And yeah. I don't know php, so, i was wondering if it was doable with just html, or something. |

oh damn, my apologies. It does change html pages. Except for one of the links, the "contact" link. I think Fig's idea is the one to go with. |

Set your flash file up to load an external file. You do this with a movie clip, or you can set it to create a blank scene, which loads the files. Try looking around www.kirupa.com There are some great tutorials that show you how to do this.
