Right now my dad is at a place where Corel Draw 9 is being sold for a very cheap price ($35). I have read one review, but my time is limited. In the review, it says it competes with Illustrator (something I want but won't have). Do you think it's a good deal to buy it, or is it nothing special? Thanks

Whoa, you wouldn't believe some prices here.... Corel Draw and Photopaint and all the extensions (usually $300) is $100. Adobe Photoshop 7 is $375 (brand new) instead of the $607 price.

I use corel draw all day at my job for laying out plaques and trophies and name tags and stuff. It is ok... Illustrator is a lot more powerful in my opinion though. with a better interface and more power-user type features.
