Hey guys and gals. Here's my problem, I have a Flash movie that I want to have be 100% in width on my page, but I don't want it to be 100% height, I want to keep my proportions. When it goes to 100% height it stretches it out. But it is very important that it fills the screen width wise, any ideas how I can do this?

can we see an example page of your problem?? Also, is it the height and width problem in the HTML code that the problem, or flash itself? If you want to have a flash file that is alway 100% on a screen, even when you resize, i don't think this is possible. You might just have to make a table with 2 colums, stick the flash file in the left column and then in photoshop create an image which will exactly match the graphics in the flash file adnd put that into the right side of the table. You'll be left with a 'seamless' effect but only the stuff on the right is flash. Am i completely off the point? If you want help, we need to see some attempt at your webpage! |

The very top part of the screen I've this same affect done using an swf in it's own html layer. http://www.finalphase.org/v5/sites4.htm You've to play with the publish settings. Here is how I've them set up. Under the html tag put: Template: flash only Dimensions: Pixels Width: 1000 ( You will need to change this to 100% by hand) Height: Your height Playback: What ever you want quality: what ever Window Mode: transparent windowless html alignment: what ever scale: exact fit flash alignment: play with this That should do the trick Mind you it will stretch out the flash all the way across the screen. Right now the flash I've is only 20 pix wide with a simple bmp with a dropshadow. If you've a complex flash this will stretch every thing! |
