exporting files from Photoshop to Illustrator

Hi there,
simple question - is there a way to import Photoshop files into Illustrator while saving layers created in Photoshop?

I think it imports the layers intact, and vice versa as well....

Open the PSD directly in Illustrator You should be given the option of keeping all the layers.
