My font settings is messed up in my Photoshop 7. If I put it on size 6pt it looks like it is size 12. And when I put it on size 12 it looks like it is size 24 pt. And it gets a jaggy! I tried reinstalling it but it's still there. This didn't happen before. Anyone knows how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

when you create a "new" document/image just make sure the settings are at 72 dpi. Same spot as you choose the width and height of the new image.

There is several explanation for this... Jaggy font : set your resolution to a minimu of 300 (72 the basic resolution if for screen presentastion onl Jaggy font : If the font is jaggy on screen, ckeck you zoom level... most zoom will give you a jaggy resoltion (this save you a lot of memory when changing zoom) to get a nice image set your zoom level in this way... Use number who are 5 multiple (100 % 50% 55% 25%...etc.. The defalu zoom (often 66.66% is not in this range... Font size...just ckeck your zoom level..also check you resolition... Hope this helped you!!! |

Ummm, NO, Delisk... Optimum Zoom viewing occurs when the magnification is an even number factor or multiplier....e.g. 100% 50% 25% Odd integers or fractional percentages cause Photoshop to make calculations that want to split pixels. Since pixels can't be subdivided (please ignore any debate about sub-pixel blurring for the moment, as that is a whole different ball of wax), Photoshop has to round off the pixel placement to a whole number to decide where the "split" pixel falls. This generally results in an image that doesn't properly represent what it actually looks like at 100%. When jagged fonts are seen at 100% magnification, the problem can usually be traced to a couple things: • You're using a PostScript (Type 1) font that is missing its attendant outline files (the onscreen version), or that there are only a couple bitmap sizes available for the font you're using(see below). • You're using a PostScript font and don't have ATM or another font smoothing utility active. • You're using a bitmap font that only looks good at the point size for which it was created. Because a bitmap font is made up of ONLY black pixels, there's no gray tones available to act as visual antialiasing. If its built for 12 points, it will only look correct at 12 points. |
