One thing you can do is open a new document at lets say 800 x 600 (or just slightly under this size). Use this for lay out. When you create the images and banners, you can copy them into this layout and adjust their size accordingly. When you are finished all you need to do is slice up this 'lay out' image.

or you could take a pic of your screen using the print screen button and just fillup the epmtyspace with what you want.

I always use 800x600 when i design webpages. Banner size is 468 X 60 Pixels (Full Banner) 392 x 72 Pixels (Full Banner with Vertical Navigation Bar) 234 x 60 Pixels (Half Banner) 120 x 240 Pixels (Vertical Banner) and some few more :-) |

Its amazing how many times I see this question and how many times I see the answer 800x600 - whilst this is in essence correct, it would be helpful to point out that this measurement does not take into account any of the browsers chrome. Here is a link to a pretty foolproof system of measurement http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/99/41/index3a_page2.html?tw=design
