Hi,I'm new to Photoshop and I am using Adobe Photoshop 6.I was wondering if someone could tell me whether it is possible to save font styles that you have made so you don't have to make them every time you want to use them

You could make them on a file called 'font styles'. then, whenever you need the, copy and past whichever one you want..

If you're talking about font styles like you would find in a page layout application, i.e. sets of parameters for typeface, point size, kerning and leading, baseline shift, etc.— then no, you can't save font styles in Photoshop.

If you're talking about a style that'll add bevels, coloring, lighting, etc. to text, then yes...just save a Layer Style when you've gotten it to where you're happy with it.

Cybling and Bogus...

I do a similar thing with Illustrator. I have an Illustrator file that contains every possible character in any font. If I want to do a close up inspection of any character in any font, I simply select the text box containing the and change the font in the character palette. It's convenient when I don't feel like firing up the font browser I use (FontGander). I can copy and paste from this file with ease...works great for those obscure characters and dingbats I rarely use or can't remember.

Yeah. I've done that with Illustrator already. But not to that degree. Just for symbol fonts like wingdings. Pretty much like you.
