History palette and history history brush tool

Hello
i have a question which some of you who read this will find stupid
but im going to ask it anyway.

if any body could explain to me how to use the history palette and the history brush i would be very greatful

The history pallete is very very useful. You can set the amount of moves that are stored in your history in the preferences option. Every time you do something that effects the canvas, it's recorded in the history. So, say if you do something wrong, all you have to do is scroll through the history, click on where you were before the mistake, and continue over again..very useful.

ok thanx for your answer ,

but i'ts not really what i was looking for, i knew that you can use it for undoing mistakes but there are other things that can be done with it like duplicating a file or making a snapshop and recording all the things you do on both your psd file and your snapshot file

Well as i can see no body knows how to work the history palette
in that vcase why did adobe put it in

You can save the image then when you make a lot of errors you can just do File|Revert.
