creating a muti picture background |

Hi. Im new to Photoshop.I want to build a web site,and would like to have a multi image background.Using serveral pictures and blending them with a bit of fading.An example would be http://drwhotht.phenominet.com You can see the image,s have been blended together to make the background picture. many thanks kenny |

let's say you have three images and they are all in their own seperate layer... --on the second image, click on the Layer mask icon at the bottom of the layers palette, you'll notice a small thimbnail icon to the right of your secong image thumbnail. --Next click on the gradient tool and drag it through the image, you should be able to see how the images start blending, if you don't hit ctr+z and try it again. --continue doing this for all your images. --you can then fine tune each layer with the paint or erase brushes. Just remember to keep playing with each layer until you get something you like. hope this helps. |

i looked at ur web site.it looks great.im not sure about the sliding meter thing.its ok but bounces left to right a bit. maybe if it was more steady.but thats opinion.other pl might like it better.other than than its very good.the lay out is very good. kenny belfastchild |

thanks. i had a good look.i feel sorry for jill.i,ll bet she will kick u when she see,s what u have done to her photo,s. i dont know if im allowed to put a link here, but i seen a site,it,s to do with dr who, but the background image is made up of all the dr.who actors pics.http://drwhotht.phenominet.com and if u go there u will see what i mean.its what i would like to try and do. kenny belfastchild |

its not the web site i was refering to.the back ground image is in a grey scale sort of image.but im looking to create something along those lines.4 or 5 images combined, with some blur, to make one image for a background and maybe 2 or 3 as a small image for the other pages to keep at the side. kenny belfastchild |
