Pen tool loops |

In Photoshop I am attempting to "trace" a picture of my dog, Pean, using the pen tool. I have it going fine till it gets to the part where it wants to add a stupid loop where the point previous is. /Mo0, I tried doing what you said but it didn't work. :( Clicky for what I am talking about :mad: |

zzz.... go back to the point right above your dog's ear. place the next point on the top of his ear and adjust the curve according. ALT+click that point, then continue on. and then, so on and so forth.

I don't think you're using enough points. For a curve, at minimum, I use 3 points and convert the middle point to a bezier curve using the convert point tool. You get more control that way, and you don't end up with weird loops. What I basically do is draw totally straight points when I first trace an image with the pen tool. Then go back and use the convert point tool on all the curved areas. |
