Hi. I'm a novice. I clicked on the image size from photoshop and changed the width 4 and the height 6 the resolution 400 dpi. Is the dpi too high to print out the picture? How do I print on photoshop or on an Epson and differnt software( kodek software)? Can anybody help me? Thanks, |

This question "should" be in new to photoshop help forum. Anyway, to asnwer your question. What was the error you got when trying to print? Or did your printer just refuse to print and not give any error messages? Use 300 dpi as a standard. Many inkjets only do 300 dpi at maximum anyway. Using photoshop's print command should be very straightforward and work no matter the situation. Perhaps you aren't waiting long enough for it to print. 400 dpi takes some time to be processed through a parallel/printer port. And photoshop is very slow at printing by nature anyway, or so I've noticed. As for printing out your image from another program, go to the menu on top of the screen. File > save as, and save the image as a different type of image file. TIFF, PNG, BMP, or PCX are the best choices. Then try opening the image in the other program and printing it. |
