Hello, this is kinda a funny question, but Im in the process of building a portfolio and have a question about resizing a copied screen. I want a small little thumnail of the sites Ive done. I hit the print screen button and paste it into photoshop, but when I resized it to around 130x90, it loses a tremendous amount of quality. So basically, how do all the great porfolios out there get such crisp thumnails? Any ideas? Thanks a lot Adam |

For my thumbnail images I usually make the selection I want as the thumbnail then I do Image>Crop. After that I size it down to 50x50, or whatever . Go to my site and look at Pets, Photography, or Tutorials for examples. :p

yeah I just take part of the image and make that a thumbnail. I don't shrink the whole thing.

You'll get your best quality if you don't reduce the image's size all in one go. First reduce 50%, then by 50% again...continue until you get close (but not smaller than the final size) then reduce to final size. |

Yea, I just cropped a specific part of my pages and reduced it from there, didnt lose as much quality. Thanks for all your comments! Adam |
