Multilayered Skin Textures

I would like to ask for help on making multilayered human skin textures. Using photoshop 6 in conjuction with lightwave 7 to fully animate 3D figures I could use help or a tutorial on creating very life like skin textures for these figures.

Woah woah woah, slow down there, this looks more like of a topic in the advance forum, but, I remembered that I was able to make human skin in just Photoshop 6 alone once, so maybe you won't need lightwave. P.S let me see if I can find that picture.
