the only response I've gotten to any plug in questions are:

"check the filter's respective websites to see if they have a patch."

Most are not compatible with Photoshop 7 or Mac OSX -yet.

Works fine on mine so I'd check the install or try re-installing it...

Great thing about windows based adobe products.... The plug-in compatibility issue is pretty much non-existant. Even between the various 9x & NT versions of the OS. The very different nature of OSX for macs has caused a lot of compatibility issues.

My only suggestion.... continue to work in OS9.
