cuttin a pic from one image to another?

how do i remove a guy from a pic without having to lasso it? when ever i lasso its all not neat and all i wanna know how i can cut an image clean and drage it to my background

Photoshop is about selections. Just practice them. However, there is an Extract function which may be useful to you. Have a look at it.

You can quickly lasso the guy and drag him into a new file (make a new layer for him first) then you can use the eraser tool and zoom to clean up the edges

what kind of pic are u trying to use? i think its god damn easy to do on anime:D

Of course anime would be easier, its not a true bitmapped image. Its not hard to grab your magic wand and grab ahold of parts of a basic vector object.

I dont watch anime, but my good friend ran a server for it. Hes has near 300 disks full of the stuff. I was never attracted to it.

Or lasso the general selection out of the original image and use a mask to clean it up
