Sky problem

Does anyone have any good techniques for creating a realistic looking sky in Photoshop that has lots of depth. Obviously I can create a blue sky with a few clouds, but what I am looking for is something that really shows some great depth. Thanks

heh, thanks, I was looking more for photoshop but I have solved the problem now. I think I got a wicked sky going on now so I am happy.

First I had a layer down of the general blue I wanted my sky. Then I made another layer, filled it white, and then ran Filter>Difference Clouds. Then I Auto adjusted the Layer for contrast. Then, on that same layer, I ran Motion Blur at an approriate angle and at enough pixels so that it blurred out the original filter. Pending on where you want your clouds coming in from will be the angle you use. Then I set the layer to overlay, making sure it was over the original blue layer, set the opacity to 45, then Image>Adjust>Hue/Saturation and colorized it accordingly.

Ill post the final render when I am finished. I think the guys are leaning on me to have it finsihed soon
