What happened to the color???

Hi,

I'm somewhat new to Photoshop and I'm having a problem that's driving me crazy.
When I create( or bring)images in PS, they look great. But, when I put the images into Dreamweaver or into Explorer or Netscape Comm. the color in the images washes out considerably. What's going on? How come it changes? Is there something I can do to fix it so images will look the same out of PS as they do in PS? Thanks.

By the way I'm using PS 5.0 on a MAC (OS 9), if that makes a difference.

Too much to really go into here on this forum, but you need to do some research into using proper color profiling and calibration.

I suggest you start by looking up Bruce Fraser's articles at CreativePro.com. He is THE color workflow zen-master.

Thanks for the link. Looks like I've got a lot of trial and error experimention ahead of me to figure out the problem.

Go to your prefs and select none for color management... You probably have it defaulted on web or something.
