i want to make a smooth camouflage pattern in ps, i cant seem to make the random smooth shapes though, i think arctic camo is the best example...

Make the shape you want with the Lasso tool (L) and smoothen the selection Select/Modify/Smooth..

i would render clouds on like a 512 x 512 canvas and go from there. that way all the ends match up when u repeat the pattern. cause the cloud filter uses a base 8 mathematics equation that makes it repeat on like 128, 1024, ect. hope this helps, maybe im just blabbing on about stuff
