how do u make an image smaller?

in 'physical' size= edit > free transform
move the mouse to the edge and drag to the desirable size...that's what i do anyways.



file size=file>save for web , then fiddle w/ the options till u find the right format for your image. vibrant colors gradients fancy stuff like that should be jpg, and plain stuff should be .gif...that's basically what i do. but i'm probably wrong in that logic.
save optimized as? something i forget how to spell.
but yes, i'm sure after u specify which one you meant someone will give u a better definition then I can atm.

Do Image>Image Size. Then, type in your new ammount and it should automatically keep the ratio. Press Ok. Voila!
