As being a complete newb can anyone out there give any tips on t shirt making with photoshop. /DPI/Size/ stuff like that thanks |

welcome, systimax - first thing to do is figure out how many colors your shirt design will have. I'd keep it as few as you can afford, most shops charge per screen / screens= colors. second thing is design in layers. each layer should be a color in the final design. As far as resolution - hmm. I'd go pretty high. You don't want any "jaggies" around your text. Let's say 300 dpi or so. third - see if you can print on transparency somewhere - some inkjets will do it, otherwise find a kinky's copies and they can help you do that. print out each layer individually on it's own * actual size * transparency sheet. then, take your sheets into the tshirt shop and let the nice folks take care of you from there. good luck & have fun. graphicsguy |
