Hi,

I'm trying to align some text up around a circle I made, like to have the text all around the circle's edges, anyone know if this can be done in PS? Thanks!

There isn't really an easy way to do it. It involves rotating each letter manually.

You could use the text warp thing, and put it on the globe setting, but then it warps and bends your text, and I doubt that is what you are looking for.

Illustrator is much better at that type of thing. You can put text on a path, and make it bend around in any shape you want, including a circle.

Didnt you ask this same question in the Asylum?
The best way to go about this is to make the circle you want the text to go around and place two guides one horizontal and one vertice in the middle of the circle.
Type each letter on a different layer.
It works best if they are all on top of each other(turn layers off so they dont get all gumbled)
ctrl+t the first letter, then take its center point and drag it to where the guides cross in the middle of the circle, then you should get a rotation arrow if you are outside the bounding box from the ctrl+t.
Simply rotate the letters around accordingly...this method takes some getting used to and needs tweaking constantly. if you have a vector program such as Freehand it is much simpler and you have much more control over type size and kerning etc.

It is possible to rotate each letter, though it could take more time than it's worth, depending on your project.

I believe there are some filters for photoshop that will allow you to do text on a circle/path like that, but I don't recall what they are called. You may want to try searching this forum, or google.com for 'text on a path'.

Good luck.

you could also try the distort>polar coordinates, if your text is all the way across the document and centered it will go into a circle but will be a little distorted.

Extensis offers the Photographics plugin which is quite good at putting text-on-a-path in Photoshop. Not supported on Macs past OS 9.0.4 (as far as I know), and it might be a little tough to find. There is also Human Software's OttoPaths...haven't used it so I can't offer comments.
