How do i paint and add texture to a scanned sketch of a manga style babe. Im new and a dont have a wacom any tips or links would be cool. I want to make my own comic mag,well try anyway. |

Do you also know of any tutorials for adding textures. eg for making a pair of leather trousors look like leather trousers? |

Hi im having problems following the linked tutorial because it refers to keyboard shortcuts that arnt working,is there any other tutorials available,plus is there any decent tutorial cd roms available on this area that are animated.

what i like to do is have a layer over the layer with the sketch on it. on the above layer, i set the layer mode to "multiply." That way the color covers the white area, but not the black. Then from there, just change color, and hardness of tips and the whatnot... here is an example of something i whipped up with this method.. www.issaonline.com/navaqa/tonguemountain.jpg |

Hi and thanx for your reply. But how do i change colours and points? Please forgive as iam totally new to using photoshop for such a task. Im using version 7 so is that different? Damn i can see all the possibilities but cant use them yet. |

There are a number of way to change colors. A good place to start would be to goto the "Window" menu, and click "Swatches" That way you can just pick one of the colors they have for you. Or, on the toolbar, you can click on the foreground or background color sqaures they have, and you can have more control over the color you choose. To change tip sizes, select the paintbrush (or hit "b"), and then click on the brush drop down menu located right beneath the "Layer" dropdown menu... just play around, you'll figure it out. |
