how do i grab the text from a Scanned image? |

I have a scaned image with some text on it, i wish to grab this text, change it and have it appear in the image. Can this be done - if so - how?? Cheers |

Nope....unless you have some sort of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software. Even if you do, it's not the most dependable solution. If you scanned it, it's now just a bunch of pixels arranged to look like letters. Just knuckle down and retype it. |

Bugger!! Oh well thanks for the info. Was hoping there would be a nice easy way. Is that how those people who change captions in images make text changes...? ![]() |

not sure if I understand you completly but, just have a seperate layer you use for type and do not flatten it. that way you can edit it later.

If you use a pc get a copy of office xp. Word can translate scans, voice and handwriting. Then just copy and paste into PShop. or Bring your image into photoshop and set that layer to multiply or screen. You will see. -Zwarte |
