why aren't these transparent??? argh.

okay, well I've tried a few things to get these images transparent to get rid of the white...but it's not working. Here's the link to the page with the images I'm messing with:

I've never had problems with making things transparent before...humm...maybe I'm just too tired, lol, any help would be awesome, thanks!
