How do a Make a Flag effect ?

with folds and yes waving in the air (flying/host).
help will be appreciated

Robouk just put a flag tutorial up on his site in honor of the World Cup. You can find it at www.robouk.com. There are obviously a million and one ways to make a flag, but his method gets the job done.

You can make a simple effect like that by using the "preset" gradient called "transparent stripes"... (the winded ruffle look)

Find that gradient and make a new layer over the and fill it with the gradient. Change the layer mode to "Overlay" and apply a slight bevel to the layer.

There has to be a a hundred ways to do that, but thats all I can think of right now.

Just use the shear filter (Filter>Distort>Shear) then in place of the Liquify tool. Everything else should work out. You will, however, have to rotate the flag so that it appears vertical when you apply the filter.

There's a new plugin from DreamSuite II called Wrinkle that can help you with your flag. This plugin lets you apply a wrinkle effect that will make your flag look real.
