missing channels button

I am using photoshop 5.5 limited and there is no channels button or tab to select where my layers tab is. Is this normal for the version I'm using or am I just missing something completely

hrm...i don't know if it's normal or not, but try:
windows>view channels pallette
or something like that...i am still a n00b as well

Does "limited" = "LE"?

I don't know exactly how many versions there are, but if I were to guess, I'd say that the "Limited" version is exactly that, it's limited. Probably does not have the capability of Channels.

yes, its LE and you are correct.. damn, makes it hard to do tuts without that capability.. Think I'm gonna look into PS 7
