Hi everyone I am sick of taking portraits and then having to cut out the person from the background because the background is no good. It's a pain especially when it comes to hair. Are there any photoshop 6 plug-in's out there for greenscreen/bluescreen? I'd prefer if the plug-in was free or at least inexpensive. I have seen this type of plug-in before for earlier version of photoshop but I remember it being upwards of $200 or so. A price I don't want to pay. Any suggestions? Thanks |

What is color range selecting? Does it work like chromakey? How do I do it? Thanks |

select->ColorRange ...then choose a color, choose a good smoothing, and you´re done. :D

I'm going to assume you take portraits of people against a backdrop (blue or green screen) that is suitable for this type of operation? If you don't, then you'll just have to learn to extract subjects from backgrounds like everybody else... |

That will work great. Thanks. Yes I do take portraits of people against green screens. I just never knew photoshop had that option. |

My suggestion is to really take the time to learn all of Photoshops tools well. With a properly greenscreened portrait you could conceivably make a flawless extraction in about 10 minutes. 3rd-party Plugins generally wouldn't decrease the time or effort too much. |
